“No-frills” booking
When it comes to booking tools, travelers want
simple functionalities that work well. On the
whole, they place little importance on extras
such as hotel photos and feedback from other
guests, both of which are common on leisure
booking sites. What they value most is the ability
to book quickly and when it is convenient for
them. Other high-ranking criteria are immediate
confirmation of booking, the ability to change or
cancel a booking, and information on the hotel’s
location. In addition, travelers acknowledge the
importance of being able to access preferred
hotels and book the best rate (Figure 33).
