Czech Republic<br />

The main IP-TV providers of the Czech Republic is VOLNÃ TV Service.<br />

[E16] Telekom Austria Czech Republic is the leading telecommunications operator in the<br />

Czech Republic. Under the brand VOLNÃ it offers a full portfolio of telecommunications<br />

services including, internet connections, voice services, fixed line and wireless data services,<br />

network services and a full range of value added services, such as: web hosting, server<br />

housing (with housing centers in Prague and Brno), domain name registration, digital TV<br />

based on IPTV technology and security services.<br />

VOLNÃ is one of the first Czech telecommunications operators with its own high-speed<br />

internet network based on the state-of-the-art ADSL2+ technology covering 40% of all fixed<br />

phone lines in Czech Republic. VOLNÃ is able to offer IPTV service together with data and<br />

voice services in high quality at low prices. The TV service is a response to the growing<br />

demand for entertainment.<br />

VOLNÃ TV is currently available in Prague and Brno, exclusively on VOLNÃ's own network.<br />

Greece<br />

The most important IP-TV service provider of Greece is ON Telecoms.<br />

[E16] ON Telecoms launched the first IPTV services in Athens in late January. The company<br />

operates a metropolitan fiber network in the Athens area, on which advanced triple play<br />

services are delivered. ON Telecoms completed the initial phase of a fully owned<br />

metropolitan fibre network in Attica of more than 170km. Its services are available today for<br />

40% of households and businesses and will reach 80% by the end of 2007.<br />

Within the triple play offering, ON Telecoms' aim is to introduce next generation TV and<br />

video services, offering its customers an array of entertainment packages: ON Telecoms will<br />

deliver Catch-up TV, NPVR, VoD and other On Demand services.<br />

Hungary<br />

Also Hungary has an IP-TV provider: TVnet and it offers services similar to others Eastern<br />

European providers.
