The Story Of Swami Rama
God, so the order of names of this body (meaning
himself) is reversed. In pre-monk days, it wxas
Tirath Rama now it is Rama Tirath" Later on, he
deleted playfully the little 'i' out of the last word,
and began signing himself as "Rama Truth". He
gave his whole thought to mental healing, when he
said "Disease is only dis-ease". Be at ease with your
God, with yourself and be whole, holy, and you
cannot have any dis-ease. He changed atonement
and always wrote and pronounced it as at-onement.
He said understanding is standing under,
diving deep into your own Real Self. He played
with his title Swami. It is a Sanskrit word meaning'
‗Lord‘ and carries in it the sense of superiority over
others. He spelt and pronounced Swami as So-am-
I. He would write a letter and subscribe himself
thus:
So-am-I
Rama Truth
He played similarly with his Mantram, his
continuous chant, the natural warble of this free
bird. OM, he would say, is O'am; O is the Persian
word which means He, M stands for I am—He I
am or "I am God ".
