BODY OF SAOMI RAM CONSIGNED TO THE GANGES<br />

NEW THOUGHT TEACHER HAD CLASSES IN DENVER<br />

THE body of the great Saomi Ram is no more. With<br />

Oriental ceremonies and services impressive and<br />

solemn, the body of the great Hindu who strived to<br />

wipe out caste has been consigned to the sacred<br />

Ganges river. <strong>The</strong> followers of the Oriental genius<br />

who live in Denver and the West have just learned<br />

of this tragedy, which took place October 17. Saomi<br />

Ram was a new thought teacher, and, while in<br />

Denver, in January, 1904, he was received in the<br />

churches and made several addresses here, finally<br />

winning many persons to his new creed and<br />

religion. In the eyes of his followers Saomi Ram is<br />

not dead; his body simply has ceased to exist.<br />

Mrs. Florence J. Kramer of Denver was among<br />

those who found much wisdom and justice in the<br />

teachings of Saomi Ram, and she has just received<br />

a letter from Editor Puran of the official organ of<br />

the cult, Thundering Dawn, published in Japan,<br />

which merely mentions the passing of Saomi Ram.<br />

Editor Puran is writing a book about the leader,<br />
