<strong>The</strong> <strong>Story</strong> <strong>Of</strong> <strong>Swami</strong> <strong>Rama</strong><br />

abroad.<br />

<strong>The</strong> work in nooks and corners is as grand as the<br />

work in the bright centres. In a Persian wheel, the<br />

small tooth-like wooden support (called Kutta in<br />

Hindustani) is just as important as the oxen. <strong>The</strong><br />

whole mechanism cannot stand if the poor wooden<br />

support be taken off. Nay, every nail attached to<br />

the spokes is of paramount importance. What if<br />

children do not make use of such apparently small<br />

things. In the eyes of God work however humble is<br />

just as grand when done in the spirit of Love. <strong>The</strong><br />

puny dew-drop appears nothing before the<br />

glorious Sun, but the observant eye sees that this<br />

very tiny drop reflects the whole of the solar orb in<br />

its sweet little bosom. So, my blessed dear mother,<br />

soft, silent work in neglected quarters unknown to<br />

name and fame is just as noble and indispensable<br />

as loud noisy work which attracts the attention of<br />

all mankind. I had been despondent over the little I<br />

seemed to be doing. ―<strong>The</strong>y also serve who only<br />

stand and wait‖. <strong>The</strong> mother swathes the tender<br />

babe and when Time brings him to the University<br />

and the Professor lectures to the grown-up boy, the<br />

mother's role is not so high-flown and reputation-<br />
