<strong>The</strong> <strong>Story</strong> <strong>Of</strong> <strong>Swami</strong> <strong>Rama</strong><br />

is again a tragic tale of the sufferings of the great<br />

when they take upon themselves the task of lifting<br />

up the world, the dead world by actual exchange<br />

of their bliss with its sorrow and suffering. It is the<br />

tale of one more Gratification for the good of the<br />

world. A thousand Tilaks and Gandhis work for<br />

the world, and feel still greater joy in doing more,<br />

because there does not take place between them<br />

and the world the great exchange which made<br />

even Christ cry out— ―Who has touched me?‖.<br />

Such people are not Spiritual in the sense in which<br />

Christ and Chaitanya were, they are not yet Faqirs<br />

with divine Avesh, they are not yet in direct line<br />

and touch with the prophets of the world!<br />

Otherwise, one lecture ought to be enough to keep<br />

them indoors on bed for at least a fortnight. For<br />

living man to come out to save humanity means<br />

crucifixion, not so much physical and mental, as<br />

spiritual, it may mean the complete death if he has<br />

not the powerful hands in the Invisible to lift him<br />

up. <strong>The</strong> torch which <strong>Swami</strong> <strong>Rama</strong> took up in his<br />

hand was extinguished long before its actual and<br />

apparent extinction in the waters of the Billing<br />

Ganga where he was drowned! As he used to say,<br />

such great beings of the inspiration of ecstasy in<br />

them, should sit calm in themselves. <strong>The</strong>ir very<br />
