between him and Swami Narayan was due to the
latter's keen, though unconscious disappointment
in love, seeing his physical health giving way. It
was love's excess anxiety which led to bitterness.
I might say here that the life-long devotion of
Swami Narayan to Swami Rama, his preparedness
if need be to lose his very life for Swami Rama, is
an achievement by itself, and its continuousness
