MSMN 133. Introducing Church History<br />
A survey <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> history <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Christian church concentrating on those individuals, events, and movements that have<br />
shaped <strong>the</strong> church today. Credit, 3 hours. Offered every spring semester.<br />
MSMN 135. Exploring <strong>the</strong> Old Testament<br />
An exploration <strong>of</strong> Old Testament literature, history, and faith to help students understand <strong>the</strong> Old Testament and develop<br />
and apply Christian values in contemporary life. Credit, 3 hours. Offered each fall and spring semester.<br />
MSMN 136. Exploring <strong>the</strong> New Testament<br />
An exploration <strong>of</strong> New Testament literature, history, and faith to help students understand <strong>the</strong> teachings <strong>of</strong> Jesus and <strong>the</strong> early<br />
church and develop and apply Christian values in contemporary life. Credit, 3 hours. Offered each fall and spring semester.<br />
MSMN 137. Introducing Church Planting<br />
An introduction to <strong>the</strong> skills and knowledge needed to plant a church in North America. This course will use as a foundation<br />
<strong>the</strong> biblical and <strong>the</strong>ological basis for church planting, as well as <strong>the</strong> practical aspects <strong>of</strong> starting a new church. Particular<br />
attention will be given to <strong>the</strong> cultural aspects <strong>of</strong> church planting with surveys <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> various schools <strong>of</strong> thought concerning<br />
church planting and an evaluation <strong>of</strong> those various methodologies. Credit, 3 hours. Offered fall semester <strong>of</strong> even years.<br />
