of images aiming to detect any modification,
identifying for certain those parts of an image
which can still be used and, from a medical andlegal
point of view, estimating the modifications.
Other work concerned the development of
watermarking methods specifically adapted to
medical images and the integration of these
solutions into a security policy [10][9].
This team is also involved in the “Collaborative
medical information processing” platform.
Within this framework, studies have given rise to
publications and the Med1dex (TecSan 2007)
project was retained by the ANR. It began in
January 2008. Its aim is to facilitate encoding of
medical records, a constraining task, while
improving quality to optimise returns and
structuring the electronic file. The chosen
approach relies on the fusion (methods and
results) of 5 specific modules of code assistance,
which in turn rely on different information
acquired about the patient, hospitalisations and
other extrinsic knowledge databases. The project
was developed in partnership with Brest
University Hospital and PRISMEDICA company.
Environmental studies and the design of (C2i)
was done in 2008, and the module ReferoCod
was developed and tested.
Two PhD theses were defended in 2008 by Abdel
Zemirline [22] and Gwénolé Quellec [21]. Finally,
previous work in 2008 was published in peerreviewed
publications or as chapters of books.
