Aims and objectives throughout the project The geographical environment of Télécom Bretagne, located close to a scientific and industrial cluster specialized in the field of marine and environmental technologies, influenced the decision that certain signal processing activities at Télécom Bretagne should address this domain. The problems of earthquakes, acoustic tomography, maritime sonar and radar have been studied closely at Télécom Bretagne for several years. These problems require the use of statistical tools for blind deconvolution, reverberation analysis, trajectography and classification. There is a dual objective: (i) to respond to the concrete scientific and technical problems facing our partners for the implementation of operational devices, (ii) to extract theoretical proposals of a general nature in order to contribute to the improvement of methodology in the field of signal processing. 190
