Simplicity, not unnecessary complexity.<br />
Richness, not environmental impoverishment.<br />
Effortlessness, not strain.<br />
Playfulness, not grim, humorless, drudgery.<br />
Self-sufficiency, not dependency.<br />
Meaningfulness, rather than senselessness.<br />
While these qualities are for the most part universally acclaimed as desirable ,there<br />
are some that appear to be quintessentially Vedantic, especially those dealing with<br />
qualities such as Unity, wholeness, transcendence of opposites, and self<br />
sufficiency. <strong>The</strong>re are quite a few who have remarked on the relationship of the<br />
Vedantic, in particular the Non dualistic approach, to the transpersonal psychology<br />
espoused by Maslow.<br />
