I confront them with a history
they neither know nor recognise.
Even now they do not wish
to hear me speak.

Delhi seems quiet after Agra.
From the house of our friend
Scintl and I catch a tuk-tuk
to the shops in search of some
elusive souvenir not available
in the global market place.
On Connaught Place, we savour
the flavour of real global coffee.
The evening finds us eating
dosa again, down a lane
through a maze of streets
that only a local could unravel.
It’s our souls unravelling.
