Jane had been plucking her lip and was feeling
like she was fighting a losing battle.
I told her she was a great candidate for the
treatment. Much to her surprise, the dark colour
of the hairs that she hated so much made
them the most responsive to the laser treatment.
Jane was anxious to get started- she
had had enough, and to learn that there was
something she could do about it was the best
news ever!
Because she had been plucking, she had to
wait few weeks before having the treatment. I
explained to her that the roots needed to be
developed in order for the laser to be attracted
them. The thought of growing out those hairs
was just horrific to Jane! Until I told her that
she could totally take care of the visible hair on
the surface. She could trim, shave, use Nair or
Neet, buff- anything as long as the root was
left intact. She was relieved.
Although the idea of shaving was appalling
at first, once I made it clear to her that shaving
would not change or increase the hair, she
decided it would be the best way to get her
through to her first appointment.
The big day came and Jane had her first
treatment. It went just as I had described. It
was fast, stung a bit , but no more than the
waxing had. It was a little pink in the corners
where the darker hair had been, and she was
delighted to see the little dark flecks of hair
that the laser had gotten.
That was a year ago. Jane is pleased with
her results- she told me yesterday when she
came in to start her bikini. She figured if I
could do that for her face, she couldn’t wait to
see what I could do for her bikini!
She’s going to have a great summer!!
