treasure: a 1941 All-Star Game program
autographed by (17) of that
star-studded exhibition’s performers.
Issued to a scribe (as evidenced
by a “PRESS” stamping on the
front cover) at Detroit’s Briggs
Stadium for the event’s ninth annual
installment, the 28-page guide presents
beautifully, with covers and
crisp pages intact. The headline
attraction, however, is an assortment
of blue marker signatures on
the appropriate likenesses. These
pennings show (“9-10”) potency throughout and include: Boudreau, Danning, D.
DiMaggio, J. DiMaggio, Doerr, Feller, Gehringer, Lopez, Mize, Moore, Nicholson,
Owen, Russo, Slaughter, Smith, Tebbetts and T. Williams, who ended the battle with a

induction in Cooperstown, this 1988 Ron Lewis lithograph print is signed by all
(11) of its fence-clearing subjects. Framed to 38-1/4 x 21”, the piece is signed on the
