321. 1977 World Series Game 6 Full
Ticket From Jackson’s 3-HR Game -
PSA Authentic
Nearly 50 years after the immortal Babe Ruth clubbed
three home runs in the World Series clincher at
Sportsman’s Park, Reggie Jackson duplicated the feat in
the Bronx, punishing three different Dodgers pitchers to
earn the title “Mr. October.” Assessed “Authentic” by
PSA, this October 18, 1977 full ticket was issued at
Yankee Stadium for that historic one-man show. One of
only 16 graded, this colorful voucher has a tiny pinhole
accounting for the technical assessment, yet presents
beautifully with a strong perforation and crisp edges.
Opening Bid $200.00
323. Pete Rose
1978 44-Game
Hit Streak PSA
Authentic Ticket
Stub - Lone
Graded
Regardless of the situation
and conditions, Pete
Rose came to play. At
the age of 37, with more
than 3,000 hits, an MVP
honor and two World Series titles already to his credit, Rose challenged Joe
DiMaggio’s hallowed standard of hitting safely in 56 consecutive games, reaching 44
before being stopped. Assessed “Authentic” by PSA, this ticket stub was issued at
Atlanta’s Fulton County Stadium of July 31, 1978 as Rose singled off of Hall of
Famer Phil Niekro to tie Willie Keeler’s single-season mark of 44 straight games with
a hit. This is the lone graded specimen.
Opening Bid $150.00
325. Steve
Carlton 3000th
Strikeout and
300th Win Ticket
Stubs - Both PSA
3
The recipient of high
praise and prestigious
honors well into his 30s,
Steve Carlton punctuated
an already impressive
resume by reaching elusive
milestones. Issued for
two such events, these
PSA graded ticket stubs include: 3000th Strikeout April 29, 1981, Veterans Stadium
(Montreal’s Tim Wallach was victim No. 3000); Graded VG 3; 300th Win September
23, 1983, Busch Memorial Stadium (Carlton bested his former suitors for win No.
300); Graded VG 3.
Opening Bid $150.00
327. 1986 World Series Game 6 Shea
Stadium Ticket Stub - PSA Authentic
For those who appreciate the unthinkable, the climactic
ending of Game 6 of the 1986 World Series is without
rival in terms of both heroics by the hosts and the effects
of a mythical curse on the snake-bitten visitors.
Encapsulated and assessed “Authentic” by PSA, this ticket
stub was issued on October 25, 1986 at Shea Stadium
as the Mets tallied three times after two were out with
nobody on base to stave off elimination in the bottom of
the 10th (and postpone a Boston celebration for another
18 years).
Opening Bid $150.00
322. May 5,
1978 Pete
Rose 3000th
Hit Ticket Stub
- PSA
Authentic
As opponents came
and went, the ageless
Pete Rose only added
to his remarkable statistics.
At the tender
age of 37, Rose became the 13th member of baseball’s 3000-hit club as he hit a pair of
singles off of Montreal’s Steve Rogers on May 5, 1978. Encapsulated and assessed
“Authentic” by PSA, this Riverfront Stadium ticket stub was issued to one of 37,823
spectators to witness Cincinnati’s favorite son achieve baseball immortality. A paperclip
impression accounts for the technical grade, though razor sharp edges/corners
exceed the evaluation.
Opening Bid $150.00
324. September 12, 1979 Carl
Yastrzemski Fenway Park 3000th
Hit Ticket Stub - PSA 8
The heir to Ted Williams’ spot manning the Green
Monster, Carl Yastrzemski was true to the task,
extending the legacy of the BoSox. Contributing
to a 9-2 triumph over the hated Yanks, “Yaz”
delivered career hit No. 3000 on September 12,
1979 at Fenway Park. Encapsulated and Graded
NM-MT 8 by PSA, this ticket stub was issued to
one of 34,336 onlookers as the face of the franchise
reached the mythical plateau. Vibrant colors
and sharp edges/corners are consistent with the
lofty grade.
Opening Bid $150.00
326. Pete Rose September 11, 1985 Hit No. 4192 Full
Autographed Ticket - PSA/DNA 9
Appropriately, Cincinnati native Pete Rose eclipsed Ty Cobb’s career hits record in his
hometown and Queen City venue at which he was a participant on four pennant winners
and two World Series winning rosters. Issued at Riverfront Stadium on
September 11, 1985 for that historic event, this full ticket is autographed by Rose. The
encapsulated crease-free voucher presents beautifully and the autograph has been
graded MINT-9 by PSA/DNA.
Opening Bid $150.00
