794. 1931 Honus Wagner
Testimonial Birthday Dinner
Program Signed by
Attendees
In honor of Honus Wagner’s 57th birthday,
dignitaries in Paterson, New Jersey honored
the “Flying Dutchman” with a testimonial
dinner. It was in Paterson where Wagner
made his professional debut for the Silk
Weavers of the Atlantic League. Managed
by Ed Barrow, Wagner quickly climbed the
latter to future big league success. The (25)
signatories on this gatefold program include
former mayors and other city officials. The
crisp fountain-pen endorsements present
nicely despite extensive creasing and soiling
to the program. No LOA due to lack of
exemplars.
