Padres gained notoriety in the Mission Valley and
beyond, these (4) game-worn apparel items include:
Steve Garvey Signed Jacket a 1983-1987 warm-up
jacket signed on the interior; Dennis Rasmussen 1983
Warm-Up Jersey a yellow knit pullover garment with
vintage “Majestic” tagging; 1982-1983 Batting
Practice Jersey a brown mesh pullover garment with
number “29”; Andy Ashby Signed Jersey a 1999

498. Elrod Hendricks 1992-1994
Game-Worn Baltimore Orioles
Bullpen Jacket
From his 1968 debut at Memorial Stadium through the
2005 season at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, Elrod
Hendricks remained a beloved Baltimore fixture as
both player and coach. This Orioles bullpen jacket was
worn by Hendricks during the 1992-1994 seasons at the
club’s picturesque new venue. The full length black and
orange nylon garment features team logos on the left
breast and left sleeve, an American League logo patch
on the right sleeve and “Orioles” sewn atop the back.
Within the collar, a “Starter” size “XL” label has a
black marker notation of “44.” Moderate wear.

499. Circa-1940s Brooklyn Dodgers
Game-Worn Cap
While the Dodgers mascot name lives on to this day,
elements from Brooklyn are, for the most part, mere
memories. A scarce survivor from those unforgettable
summers in Flatbush, this Brooklyn Dodgers cap was
worn during the days of Ebbets field. With a white button
atop the six-point crown and a white “B” embroidered
to the front center, the design dates to 1939-1957.
The interior leather sweatband is home to a “Rawlings”
label and size “6-7/8” stamping. Moderate wear is evident
with a crack on the bill.

500. 1963-1967 Kansas City Athletics
Game-Worn Cap
Destined for relocation from their first days in Kansas
City, the Athletics remained in the Midwest until the
close of the 1967 campaign. This cap was worn by one
of the struggling franchise’s players during the latter
portion of the club’s tenure in K.C. The green wool
accessory dates to 1963-1967, as owner Charlie Finley
bucked the traditional red and blue team colors. “KC”
is embroidered to the front center in white. Within the
six-point crown, a sweatband is home to a “Tim
McAuliffe” label and a size “6-7/8” stamping. Light
wear.

Game-Worn Apparel Lot of (5)
From the team’s memorable tenure at the Capital
Centre, these Washington Bullets apparel items are tailored
from the franchise’s once-familiar red-white-andblue
from an era in which short shorts and big afros
were all the rage. Highlights include: Joe Kopicki
1983-84 Game-Worn Warm-Up Jacket white knit
short-sleeved button-down garment with “bullets” sewn
across the back in blue-on-red twill and proper Wilson
tagging within the collar; 1983-84 Game-Worn Shorts
blue knit leg wear with white twill stars sewn to the

501. 1969 Seattle Pilots Game-Worn
Cap From Club’s Lone Season
While the expansion Seattle Pilots were just a bad idea,
period, the club’s uniform items from their one year are
decidedly tough to come by. This 1969 Pilots cap was
worn by backstop Jerry McNertney. The blue wool
accessory features “S” embroidered to the front center
in gold, with gold finery sewn just below and to the
bill. Within the six-point crown, a leather sweatband is
home to a “Wilson” label. McNertney’s number “15” is
inscribed on the bill’s underside. Heavy wear is evident
with (2) cracks on the bill and separation on portions of
the sweatband.

502. Moses Malone 1987-88
Washington Bullets Game-Worn
Road Jersey - Rare Style
Pre-dating the current day bumper crop, Hall of Famer
Moses Malone made the seamless transition from preps
to pros back in 1974 when the feat was unheard of. As
rare as Malone’s dominance, this 1987-88 Washington
Bullets road jersey was worn by the iconic center. The
red mesh pullover garment features twill identifiers and
proper “MacGregor – Sand Knit” tagging. The one-year
style is decidedly rare and, combined with outstanding
wear characteristics, warrants a Graded A assessment

505. 1930s-1940s Transitional
Football Helmet
Archaic by modern standards, this 1930s-1940s football
helmet is a “transitional” example and forerunner to the
all-plastic versions that took over in the 1950s. The
outer shell features a plastic crown and leather ear
flaps, front and back panels. Leather lines the lower
interior, which features an “AIRLITE” stamping and
four-point suspension. This “Wilson” size “7-1/4”
accessory is equipped with its original chin strap. Solid
game wear is evident.
