Historical significance abounds on this signed document
display from the critical and formative stages of
the United States of America. Framed to dimensions of
14-3/8 x 18-7/8”, vintage parchment is dated February
6, 1794 and details the appointment of a notary public.
Comprised of printed and handwritten terms, the document
is endorsed by heroic Revolutionary War General
and South Carolina Governor William Moultrie, whose
black ink fountain pen signature maintains (“8-9”)
potency more than 200 years after its execution. Full

Proud and defiant until the bitter end, former president
of the short-lived Confederate States of America (1861-
1865) Jefferson Davis was the author of this bold cut
signature. Executed in black-ink fountain pen on a
sheet measuring approximately 3-13/16”-long, Davis’
regal scripting resonates (“8-9”) strength and clarity.
The sheet is minimally affected by age-induced browning,
which does not impinge upon the quality of the
autograph and actually provides aesthetic appeal. Full

Eisenhower (d.1969) who won two presidential elections
with the friendly slogan “I Like Ike” was a conservative
Republican who presided over America’s
period of transition from 1950s innocence to 1960s cultural
revolution. Presented is an 8x10 photo taken at a
Republican National Convention signed by “Ike” with
graceful (“7-8”) quality in black ink by steel-tip fountain
pen. The photo presents in appealing condition
with minor signs of wear including a vertical crease
