Synagogue membership is also related to resources. Better educated and more affluent <strong>Jewish</strong><br />

residents are more likely to belong to a synagogue; 24 percent <strong>of</strong> residents with a college<br />

education are dues paying members <strong>of</strong> synagogues while only 10 percent <strong>of</strong> residents without a<br />

college education belong. Thirteen percent <strong>of</strong> residents who earn less than $75,000 are dues<br />

paying members <strong>of</strong> a synagogue compared to 22 percent among residents who earn $75,000 to<br />

$150,000, and 26 percent among residents who earn over $150,000 per year.<br />
