Demographically, those who want to be more involved tend to be more female (55 percent),<br />

younger (52 percent under 50), unmarried (46 percent), and without kids<br />

(65 percent). They are also significantly more likely to be new residents <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Bay</strong> area– over<br />

half (51 percent) have lived in <strong>the</strong> <strong>Bay</strong> area less than five years (38 percent among population<br />

overall). Finally, <strong>the</strong>y are slightly lower income than <strong>East</strong> <strong>Bay</strong> <strong>Jewish</strong> residents overall.<br />
