Thirteen percent <strong>of</strong> <strong>Jewish</strong> residents report that <strong>the</strong>y attend events weekly or monthly, and 26<br />
percent report that <strong>the</strong>y attend a few times a year. Unsurprisingly, those who attend <strong>Jewish</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong>med events are active members <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>East</strong> <strong>Bay</strong> <strong>Jewish</strong> community. More than threequarters<br />
<strong>of</strong> regular event attendees are dues-paying members <strong>of</strong> a synagogue, and 48 percent<br />
attend synagogue at least once a week; 67 percent also belong to o<strong>the</strong>r <strong>Jewish</strong> organizations<br />
and a majority (60 percent) hold leadership positions within those organizations. Far and away,<br />
most event attendees identify as Reform (44 percent, compared with 29 percent <strong>of</strong> those who<br />
do not attend events), but o<strong>the</strong>r, less common, denominations are over-represented among<br />
regular attendees, particularly Reconstructionist (10 percent) and <strong>Jewish</strong> Renewal (9 percent).<br />
