CELTA course has been critiqued for hindering trainee teachers’ cognitive<br />

development. Looking at trainees' previously-held beliefs about language<br />

teaching, this talk explores how their thinking develops and readapts<br />

during the course, in relation to the input received, the demands of<br />

teaching practice and the overall assessment criteria.<br />
