3) Hold, at a minimum, a Master's Degree in <strong>Law</strong> (LL.M.) or the equivalent. By<br />
definition and comparison, a Doctor's Degree of <strong>Law</strong> (LL.D. or Ph.D. in <strong>Law</strong>)<br />
are recognized as combining the acquired knowledge of an LL.M. as well as<br />
definitive recognition of one's juridical skills.<br />
The equivalence of this degree requirement can be work experience. For<br />
example, a practitioner<br />
of law having worked for two years at the European Court of Human Rights,<br />
the International Court of Justice or the International Criminal Court would be<br />

War and Peace <strong>Journal</strong> The Member of the Board must :<br />
1) Be proficient in English - knowledge of other languages such as French,<br />
Bosnian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Finnish, German, Greek, Hungarian,<br />
Icelandic, Innuktikut, Italian, Latin, Polish, Portugese (either Brazilian and<br />
European), Romanian, Russian, Serb (either Latin and Cyrillic), Slovenian and<br />
Spanish are definite advantages;<br />
2) Hold, at a minimum, a recognized arts degree; this includes all the range of<br />
arts and humanities and social sciences degrees.<br />
3) Hold, at a minimum, a Master's Degree or the equivalent; the Master's<br />
Degree must be in Arts, Peace Studies, Strategic Studies, Military Studies,<br />
International Relations, Political Sciences, Diplomacy or related fields of<br />
studies. By definition and comparison, a Doctor's Degree (Ph.D.) is<br />
recognized as combining the acquired knowledge of an LL.M. as well as<br />
definitive recognition of one's skills. The equivalence of this degree<br />

EUFOR, UNMBIH, Pearson Peacekeeping Center or other such<br />
