瑪 麗 皇 后 的 農 舍 The Hameau (Hamlet)
「 絕 代 豔 后 」 臥 房 (Marie-Antoinette’s Bedroom):
做 為 法 國 歷 史 上 最 具 傳 奇 色 彩 的 皇 后 ,
瑪 麗 . 安 托 瓦 內 特 的 臥 室 是 這 裏 最 大 的 套 房 之
一 。 按 照 當 年 的 宮 廷 禮 儀 , 皇 后 生 子 時 , 這 裏 會
聚 集 約 200 位 臣 子 見 證 皇 室 神 聖 的 一 刻 。 在 1789
年 的 暴 動 中 , 瑪 麗 皇 后 曾 由 她 床 右 邊 的 一 處 暗 門

The Opera: Considered to be one of most beautiful
in Europe, it has a mechanism that allowed
the orchestra level to be raised to the stage so it
could be used for dancing and banquets. The opera
required 3,000 candles to be burnt for opening
night, and was rarely used due to its operating cost.
Grove of the Baths of Apollo: The realistic
sculpture of Apollo bathed by nymphs is in
sharp contrast to the rough-hewn rocks that
surround it. Sculptures appear to wander in
and out of grottos, and horses seem to drink
from the cascading fountains.
The Hameau (Hamlet): To escape the formality
of court at Versailles, Marie-Antoinette built a
series of buildings where she could pretend to be
a shepherdess or a milkmaid. The buildings were
authentically rustic — there were even cracks in
the walls — but that’s where the realism stopped.
Cows were washed prior to the queen’s arrival, and
lambs were taken for walks on silk ribbon leashes.
