arjuna uvaca<br />
evam satata-yukta ye<br />
bhaktas tvam paryupasate<br />
ye capy aksaram avyaktam<br />
tesam ke yoga-vittamah<br />
Arjuna inquired: O Lord, who among the Yogis, whether those who are<br />
engaged in Your devotional service or those who worship the unmanifested<br />
Brahman are the better?<br />
TEXT 2<br />
sri-bhagavan uvaca<br />
mayy avesya mano ye mam<br />
nitya-yukta upasate<br />
sraddhaya parayopetas<br />
te me yuktatama matah<br />
The Supreme Lord said: Those who fix their minds on Me with great<br />
affection, being engaged in unalloyed devotional service, are the best of all<br />
yogis.<br />

ye tv aksaram anirdesyam<br />
avyaktam paryupasate<br />
sarvatra-gam acintyam ca<br />
kuta-stham acalam dhruvam<br />
sanniyamyendriya-gramam<br />
sarvatra sama-buddhayah<br />
te prapnuvanti mam eva<br />
sarva-bhuta-hite ratah<br />
Those who worship Me as the impersonal Brahman, the unmanifest, the<br />
all-pervading, inconceivable, unchangeable, immovable and eternal one,<br />
keeping the senses under control, and being equally disposed to everyone,<br />
engaged in the welfare of all beings, no doubt achieve Me but with much<br />
difficulty.<br />
