Therefore, get up and prepare to fight, subdue your enemies and enjoy a<br />

flourishing kingdom. They have already been slain by Me. O Savyasachin<br />

(Arjuna), you are merely an instrument in this fight.<br />

TEXT 34<br />

dronam ca bhismam cajayadratham ca<br />

karnam tathanyan api yodha-viran<br />

maya hatams tvam jahi ma vyathistha<br />

yudhyasva jetasi rane sapatnan<br />

Fearlessly kill Drona, Bhisma, Jayadratha, Karna and all other great<br />

warriors who have been doomed by Me. Just fight and you shall conquer your<br />

enemies in the battle.<br />

TEXT 35<br />

sanjaya uvaca<br />

etac chrutva vacanam kesavasya<br />

krtanjalir vepamanah kiriti<br />

namaskrtva bhuya evaha krsnam<br />

sa-gadgadam bhita-bhitah pranamya<br />

Sanjaya said: Having heard these words of Keshava (Krishna), Kiriti<br />

(Arjuna) trembled, folded his hands and prostrated himself, overwhelmed with<br />

fear, he then addressed Krishna again with a faltering voice.<br />

TEXT 36<br />

arjuna uvaca<br />

sthane hrsikesa tava prakirtya<br />

jagat prahrsyaty anurajyate ca<br />

raksamsi bhitani diso dravanti<br />

sarve namasyanti ca siddha-sanghah<br />

Arjuna said: O Hrusikesha, the world rightly rejoices in Your glory. The<br />

demons fly in all quarters in fear and the enlightened persons offer their<br />

obeisances to You. Everything is going on perfectly.<br />

TEXT 37<br />

kasmac ca te na nameran mahatman<br />

gariyase brahmano 'py adi-kartre<br />

ananta devesa jagan-nivasa<br />

tvam aksaram sad-asat tat param yat<br />

O Lord, why should they not pay their homage to You, greater than<br />

Brahma's self, O limitless one, the God of all gods i.e. how could they act<br />

otherwise, O the primordial Cause, the Refuge of the universe, the Eternal, the<br />

Infallible, transcendental to this material manifestation.<br />

TEXT 38<br />

tvam adi-devah purusah puranas<br />

tvam asya visvasya param nidhanam<br />

vettasi vedyam ca param ca dhama<br />

tvaya tatam visvam ananta-rupa<br />
