Stability in the performance of sacrifices, austerities and charities is also<br />
called ´Sat´. And the activities performed for their sake are also called ´Sat´.<br />

asraddhaya hutam dattam<br />
tapas taptam krtam ca yat<br />
asad ity ucyate partha<br />
na ca tat pretya no iha<br />
O son of Prutha, the sacrifice which is performed, the charity that is<br />
given, the austerity that is observed and the deeds that are performed without<br />
any faith are all Asat, i.e. not Sat. They neither yield any good in this birth nor<br />
in the next.<br />
om tatsditi srimad-bhagavad-gitasupanisatsu<br />
brahma-vidyayam yoga-sastre sri-krsnarjunasamvade<br />
sraddhatraya-vibhaga-yogo<br />
nama sapta-daso ´dhyayah<br />
Thus ends the Seventeenth Chapter entitled, "Division of Threefold<br />
Faiths" in the Upanisad of <strong>Srimad</strong> <strong>Bhagavad</strong> <strong>Gita</strong>, the science of God, the<br />
scripture of Yoga and the divine dialogue between Sri Krishna and Arjuna.<br />
