One who remembers the Supreme Lord in devotion, at the time of death,<br />

by fixing his prana (vital air) between the two eyebrows due to previous<br />

practice of yoga, will definitely attain the Supreme Lord.<br />

TEXT 11<br />

yad aksaram veda-vido vadanti<br />

visanti yad yatayo vita-ragah<br />

yad icchanto brahmacaryam caranti<br />

tat te padam sangrahena pravaksye<br />

Now I shall tell you the process for attaining the ultimate goal, designated<br />

Akshara(Parama Purusa) by the vedic scholars, in Whom dwell the great sages<br />

detached from all worldly affinities and for Whom the Brahmacharis practise<br />

celibacy.<br />

TEXT 12-13<br />

sarva-dvarani samyamya<br />

mano hrdi nirudhya ca<br />

murdhny adhayatmanah pranam<br />

asthito yoga-dharanam<br />

om ity ekaksaram brahma<br />

vyaharan mam anusmaran<br />

yah prayati tyajan deham<br />

sa yati paramam gatim<br />

Controlling all senses through practice of yoga, fixing the mind on the<br />

heart and the prana (vital air) between the two eyebrows and uttering the<br />

sacred syllable ´Om´, if one quits his body, he will definitely attain My eternally<br />

blissful realm.<br />

TEXT 14<br />

ananya-cetah satatam<br />

yo mam smarati nityasah<br />

tasyaham sulabhah partha<br />

nitya-yuktasya yoginah<br />

O Partha (Arjuna), I am easily accessible to him who remembers Me<br />

without deviation.<br />

TEXT 15<br />

mam upetya punar janma<br />

duhkhalayam asasvatam<br />

napnuvanti mahatmanah<br />

samsiddhim paramam gatah<br />

Pure devotees are not subject to rebirth which is transitory and full of<br />

miseries, because they have attained the highest perfection.<br />

TEXT 16<br />

a-brahma-bhuvanal lokah<br />

punar avartino 'rjuna<br />

mam upetya tu kaunteya<br />
