virtue and vice accruing from action.<br />

TEXT 22<br />

yadrccha-labha-santusto<br />

dvandvatito vimatsarah<br />

samah siddhav asiddhau ca<br />

krtvapi na nibadhyate<br />

He is quite satisfied with whatever he gets without trying for it, has<br />

transcended the pairs of opposites, is free from malice or hatred and is steady<br />

both in success and failure. Hence his actions, although he is completely<br />

engaged in them, do not entangle him in bondage.<br />

TEXT 23<br />

gata-sangasya muktasya<br />

jnanavasthita-cetasah<br />

yajnayacaratah karma<br />

samagram praviliyate<br />

One who is unattached to the triple qualities of material nature and is<br />

situated in divine knowledge his actions completely merge into transcendence.<br />

TEXT 24<br />

brahmarpanam brahma havir<br />

brahmagnau brahmana hutam<br />

brahmaiva tena gantavyam<br />

brahma-karma-samadhina<br />

One who is completely absorbed in spiritual activities will definitely attain<br />

the spiritual kingdom, for he is fully surrendered to spiritual activities, where<br />

there is complete sacrifice and which is offered is also of same divine nature.<br />

TEXT 25<br />

daivam evapare yajnam<br />

yoginah paryupasate<br />

brahmagnav apare yajnam<br />

yajnenaivopajuhvati<br />

Some yogis offer sacrifices to the demigods and some of them offer<br />

sacrifices to the fire of the Supreme Brahman.<br />

TEXT 26<br />

srotradinindriyany anye<br />

samyamagnisu juhvati<br />

sabdadin visayan anya<br />

indriyagnisu juhvati<br />

Some of them perform sacrifice by offering their senses as sacrificial ghee<br />

to the fire of self-control, while others perform sacrifice by offering the objects<br />

of their senses, such as sound, to the fire of their senses.<br />
