ES4624-<strong>SFP</strong>/<strong>ES4626</strong>-<strong>SFP</strong> switch implements SNTPv4 and supports SNTP client unicast<br />

as described in RFC2030; SNTP client multicast and unicast are not supported, nor is the<br />

SNTP server function.<br />

14.2 Commands for SNTP<br />

14.2.1 clock timezone<br />

Command:clock timezone hour [before-utc | after-utc]<br />

Function:set the difference between local time and UTC time.<br />

Parameter: is the name of local tomezone, consist of max 16 characters.<br />

is the time difference to UTC time,range from 0 to 12 . before-utc means local<br />

time equals the UTC time subtracting the difference , after-utc means the local time<br />

equals the UTC time adding the difference<br />

Default: 8 hours before-utc<br />

Command Mode: Global Mode<br />

Example: set the customer timezone 10 hours before-utc<br />

Switch(Config)#clock timezone customer10 before-utc<br />

14.2.2 sntp server<br />

Command: sntp server { | < server_ipv6_addr> } [version<br />

]<br />

no sntp server { | < server_ipv6_addr>}<br />

Function: Configure the IPv4/IPv6 addresses and the version of the SNTP/NTP server;<br />

the “no” form of this command cancels the configured SNTP/NTP server addresses.<br />

Parameter : is the IPv4 unicast address of the SNTP/NTP<br />

server, is the IPv6 unicast address of the SNTP/NTP<br />

server, is the version No. of the SNTP on current server,ranging between<br />

1-4 and defaulted at 1.<br />

Default: No sntp/ntp configured by default.<br />

Command Mode: Global Mode<br />

Example:<br />

(1) Configure an IPv4 address of a SNTP/NTP server. SNTPv4 version is adopted on<br />

the server<br />

Switch(Config)#sntp server 10.1.1.1 version 4<br />

(2) Configure a SNTP/NTP server IPv6 address<br />

Switch(Config)#sntp server 3ffe:506:1:2::5<br />
