Function: This command is to configure the KAT(KeepAlive Timer)value of the<br />

RP(S,G)items, the unit is second. The “no ipv6 pim rp-register-kat” command restores<br />

the default value<br />

Parameter: is the timer value, ranges from 1 to 65535s<br />

Default: 185s<br />

Command Mode: Global Mode<br />

Usage <strong>Guide</strong>: Configure rp-register-kat interval to 30s<br />

Example: Switch(config)# ipv6 pim rp-register-kat 30<br />

21.2.3.20 ipv6 pim sparse-mode<br />

Command: ipv6 pim sparse-mode [passive]<br />

no ipv6 pim sparse-mode [passive]<br />

Function: Enable PIM-SM on the interface. no ipv6 pim sparse-mode [passive]<br />

disables PIM-SM.<br />

Parameter: [passive] means to disable PIM-SM (that’s PIM-SM doesn’t receive any<br />

packets) and only enable IGMP(reveice and transmit IGMP packets).<br />

Default: Disabled PIM-SM<br />

Command Mode: Interface Configuration Mode<br />

Usage <strong>Guide</strong>: Enable PIM-SM on the interface. The command can configure on IPv6<br />

tunnel interface, but it is successful configuration to only configure tunnel carefully.<br />

Example: Enable PIM-SM on the interface vlan1<br />

Switch (Config)#interface vlan 1<br />

Switch(Config-If-Vlan1)#ipv6 pim sparse-mode<br />

21.2.3.21 ipv6 pim ssm<br />

Command: ipv6 pim ssm {default|range }<br />

no ipv6 pim ssm<br />

Function: Configure the range of pim ssm multicast address. The “no ipv6 pim ssm”<br />

command deletes configured pim ssm multicast group.<br />

Parameter: default : indicates the default range of pim ssm multicast group is ff3x::/32.<br />

is the name of applying access-list.<br />

Default: Do not configure the range of pim ssm group address<br />
