Function: Permit the split horizon. The “no ipv6 rip split-horizon” disables the split<br />

horizon<br />

Usage <strong>Guide</strong>: The split horizon is for preventing the routing loops, namely preventing the<br />

layer 3 switch from broadcasting a route at the interface from which the very route is<br />

learnt. The command can configure on IPv6 tunnel interface, but it is successful<br />

configuration to only configure tunnel carefully.<br />

Example: Switch# config terminal<br />

Switch(config)# interface Vlan1<br />

Switch(config-if-Vlan1)# ipv6 rip split-horizon poisoned<br />

Command: [no]distribute-list{access-list-name> |prefix} {in|out}<br />

Function: This command uses access-list or prefix-list to filter the route renews<br />

messages sent and received. The “[no]distribute-list{access-list-name><br />

|prefix} {in|out} []” command cancels this filter<br />

Parameter: is the name or access-list number to be applied.<br />

is the name of the prefix-list to be applied. specifies the<br />

name of interface to be applied with route filtering<br />

Default: Function disabled by RIPng by default<br />

Usage <strong>Guide</strong>: The filter will be applied to all interfaces if no specific interface is set.<br />

Example: Switch# config terminal<br />

Switch(config)# router ipv6 rip<br />

Switch(config-router)# distribute-list prefix myfilter in Vlan1<br />

17.5.3.7 ipv6 router rip<br />

Command: ipv6 router rip<br />

no ipv6 router rip<br />

Function: Enable RIPng on the interface. The “no ipv6 router rip” command<br />

disables RIPng on the interface.<br />

Default: Not configured<br />
