Command Mode: BGP route mode<br />

Usage <strong>Guide</strong>: Length of AS-PATH will be compared in BGP pathing, and its length can<br />

be ignored by using this configuration.<br />

Example:<br />

Add this setting on B:<br />

Switch(config)#router bgp 200<br />

Switch(config-router)#bgp bestpath as-path ignore<br />

17.8.3.8 bgp bestpath compare-confed-aspath<br />

Command:bgp bestpath compare-confed-aspath<br />

no bgp bestpath compare-confed-aspath<br />

Function: Set to concern the confederation AS-PATH length. The “no bgp bestpath<br />

compare-confed-aspath” command cancels this configuration.<br />

Parameter: None<br />

Default: Not configured<br />

Command Mode: BGP route mode<br />

Usage <strong>Guide</strong>: Normally only the length of external AS-PATH will be compared in BGP<br />

pathing. By using this configuration, lengths of AS inner union AS-PATH will be compared<br />

at the same time.<br />

Example:<br />

Switch(config-router)#bgp bestpath compare-confed-aspath<br />

17.8.3.9 bgp bestpath compare-routerid<br />

Command:bgp bestpath compare-routerid<br />
