MERLINS RALLIART & EVOLUTION-X TUNING GUIDE11.06-IDLE CONTROLThis section of the ECU has been inaccurately described in the past and even in thecurrent release of EcuFLASH (v1.42 at time of writing) the definitions are inaccurate.Mrfred and gunzo have done the dis-assembly of the idle control sub-routines inthe ECU for ROM 88590015 (USDM9) and found it to be extremely convoluted andcomplicated. So we no longer have nice simple ISCV tables and idle rpm v temptables. Depending on the ROM version there are approximately twenty four definedparameters, including sixteen ISCV Demand tables.I will limit this topic to the parameters that are most likely to be adjusted from thestock settings. This is the idle speed target that the ECU will try to achieve, however there are fiveof these tables and no clear description on when they are used. The values at 77*Cand 82*C may require some adjustment when using high lift and high durationcams.Figure 75:IDLE CONTROL – TARGET MINIMUM IDLE v TEMP, EVO XREV: 0.K merlin@three.com.au Page 104 of 134
