PLAYERSA player will receive a Time Violation warning for the first offense and aTime Violation loss of point for all subsequent infractions thereafter.However, when a violation is a result of a medical condition or refusalto play after being ordered to do so by the Chair Umpire, a CodeViolation for Delay of Game shall be assessed in accordance with thePoint Penalty Schedule.A player may not receive back-to-back Time Violations. Consecutivedelays shall be penalized by a Delay of Game Code Violation, exceptwhen a player is late after the 10 minute heat rule break or leaves thecourt for a toilet break on her own time.Any continual distraction of regular play, such as grunting, shall be dealtwith in accordance with the Hindrance Rule. (See Section H below).Monetary fines are not applicable.H. HINDRANCE RULEIf a player hinders her opponent, it can be ruled as either involuntary ordeliberate.1. Involuntary HindranceA let should be called the first time a player has created an involuntaryhindrance (e.g., ball falling out of pocket, hat falling off, etc.), and theplayer should be told that any such hindrance thereafter will be ruleddeliberate.2. Deliberate HindranceAny hindrance caused by a player that is ruled deliberate will result inthe loss of a point.I. DEFAULTS1. Procedurea. <strong>The</strong> Supervisor may declare a default for either a single violation ofthe Code of Conduct or pursuant to the Point Penalty Schedule setout in the Code of Conduct.108
