PLAYERS6. Retirement/Defaultsa. Matches Scheduled Same Dayi. A player who withdraws or retires from singles may be allowedto play doubles as long as the doubles has not been scheduledand the match called on the same day as the singleswithdrawal or retirement.ii.A player will be allowed to withdraw from doubles prior to thesingles being played when both matches are scheduled forthe same day.b. Default due to Disciplinary Reasonsi. If the defaulting of a player from a singles event has beenadministered for disciplinary reasons, said player may bedefaulted automatically from all other events in that<strong>Tour</strong>nament.ii.If a doubles team is defaulted under the Code of Conduct fordisciplinary reasons, one or both players may be subject toautomatic default from all other events in that <strong>Tour</strong>nament.(See Defaults – page 108).c. <strong>The</strong> Following Week’s <strong>Tour</strong>namentA player may only enter and compete in one (1) <strong>WTA</strong> <strong>Tour</strong><strong>Tour</strong>nament or ITF Circuit event per <strong>Tour</strong>nament week. Once aplayer enters and is accepted into the singles or doubles MainDraw, signs in or enters the Qualifying competition, she is committedto play that <strong>Tour</strong>nament to completion or elimination for theweek, unless released by the <strong>WTA</strong>.A player who has lost in a <strong>Tour</strong>nament (Week 1) may play theQualifying for a <strong>Tour</strong>nament scheduled for the next week (Week 2).A player may not withdraw or retire from any draw of Week 1 toplay in any other <strong>Tour</strong>nament in Week 2. However, if a player isforced to withdraw or retire from a draw in Week 1 due to medicalreasons, and she is entered in a <strong>Tour</strong>nament in Week 2, that playermust receive a medical examination from the <strong>Tour</strong>namentPhysician/PHCP from Week 1 and submit her medical examinationto the <strong>Tour</strong>nament Physician/PHCP for Week 2.
