PLAYERSD. SCHEDULING1. <strong>WTA</strong> Responsibility<strong>The</strong> Supervisor, in consultation with the <strong>Tour</strong>nament Director, is responsiblefor match scheduling. All match time requests must go throughthe Supervisor.Match scheduling will take into account relevant factors including televisioncontracts, the possibility and timing of day matches the followingday, the actual start time for the night matches and other relevant factors.2. Player Obligationsa. Players will be expected to play when scheduled. Players may berequired to play both singles and doubles any day of a<strong>Tour</strong>nament.b. Players may also be required to play several night matches in bothsingles and doubles during a <strong>Tour</strong>nament week.c. Top 10 Players are required to play a minimum of two (2) singlesnight matches during a <strong>Tour</strong>nament if requested to do so.d. When weather or other unavoidable circumstances cause a disruptionin the schedule, a player may not be expected to play morethan three (3) matches in a day without her consent.e. A player must be available to play on the first day of a <strong>Tour</strong>namentunless she played in the singles or doubles final or was competingon the final day of play of a <strong>Tour</strong>nament ending the preceding day.f. All players must be prepared to play doubles on the first day ofplay, regardless of whether or not they have received a bye in singles.g. Players may be required to play doubles before singles if necessarydue to scheduling difficulties in completing the <strong>Tour</strong>nament in time.However, there must be a minimum of two (2) matches scheduledin between the doubles and singles. In no case may there be lessthan one (1) hour in between matches unless all players agree.73
