Curbside collection is made of all wastes and trash placedat the curbside after 6 p.m. the evening preceding collection day. No auto parts, buildingmaterials, rocks or earth are picked up. Tree branches, lumber and carpeting must be nolonger than 4 feet with a maximum weight of 35 pounds, bundled and tied together. Paintcans should be distinctly marked and set aside from the remainder of the refuse.Department Standards:• Garbage and trash is collected on a weekly basis from approximately 10,000 homeswith Municipality-owned refuse trucks.• The collection of solid waste from single-family residences and multi-family dwellingsthat are primarily composed of indiVidually owned units would occur on a weekly basis.• Routes are divided into three areas with a three-man crew collecting approximately1,000 tons of refuse monthly.- 120 -
