MUNICIPALITY OF MONROEVILLE2012 BUDGETREVENUE: Police/General Employee Pension Act 205 FundsOn an annual basis, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania allocates funds to be used forthe support of the police and general employee pension systems. The source of funds is astate tax on casualty insurance written by companies located outside of Pennsylvania and heldby Monroeville residents. The amount to be budgeted in anyone year should generally bebased on funds received the preceding year.Recommendation for 2012:Based upon the estimated receipt of $663,000 in 2010, $663,000 should be budgetedin 2012. The proposed distribution of the funds is reflected under the pension expenditurecategory in the appropriate departmental budgets These funds in turn are distributed directlyto the pension plans·38 -
