The directly age sex standardised alcohol related harm hospital admission rate (per100,000 people) for Dudley residents in 2008/09 was 1281.5, and was significantlyhigher for men than women (1636.8, 948.7 for men and women respectively).Figure 7 shows the directly age sex standardised alcohol related harm hospitaladmission rate (per 100,000 people) for Dudley residents in 2008/09 by IMD 2007quintiles. In terms of alcohol related harm hospital admissions there is a strongpositive relationship with increasing deprivation for both men and women. Thisrelationship was not observed for the prevalence of heavy and binge drinking.110
