Figure 1 shows unemployment levels from 1992 - 2010 as measured byJob Seekers Allowance (JSA) claimants. There has been an increase of over 3% in the most deprivedquintile, compared with an increase of 1.5% in the least deprived quintile over thesame time period from May 2008 to May 2009.35
