Standardised rate per 100,000 populationFigure 8 shows the directly age sex standardised alcohol related harm hospitaladmission rate (per 100,000 people) for Dudley residents in 2008/09 by wardaccording to the 2001 national Census. For men there were five wards where theadmission rate was significantly higher than the Dudley average for men. Nethertonand Woodside had the highest rate of admission and was nearly 45% higher thanthe Dudley average for males. The other wards were Halesowen North, Castle &Priory, Lye & Wollescote and St. James. For women there were four wards wherethe admission rate was significantly higher than the Dudley average for women.Brierley Hill had the highest rate of admission and was nearly 55% higher than theDudley average for females.
