Standardised rate per 100,000 populationFigure 8 shows the directly age sex standardised alcohol related harm hospitaladmission rate (per 100,000 people) <strong>for</strong> <strong>Dudley</strong> residents in 2008/09 by wardaccording to the 2001 national Census. For men there were five wards where theadmission rate was significantly higher than the <strong>Dudley</strong> average <strong>for</strong> men. Nethertonand Woodside had the highest rate of admission and was nearly 45% higher thanthe <strong>Dudley</strong> average <strong>for</strong> males. The other wards were Halesowen North, Castle &Priory, Lye & Wollescote and St. James. For women there were four wards wherethe admission rate was significantly higher than the <strong>Dudley</strong> average <strong>for</strong> women.Brierley Hill had the highest rate of admission and was nearly 55% higher than the<strong>Dudley</strong> average <strong>for</strong> females.
