TRANSFER STUDENT ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTSStudents desiring to transfer credit from any trade school, junior college, college, or universityare welcome to apply for admission to <strong>Victory</strong> <strong>University</strong> and must meet the following criteriain order to be reviewed for acceptance to <strong>Victory</strong> <strong>University</strong>:Transfer students must have completed at least twelve (12) semester hours at their college oruniversity, with a grade of C or better. Students who have received at least twelve (12)semester hours from non-accredited colleges, Continuing Education Units (CEUs), Credit forPrior Learning (CPLs), correspondence, testing (such as CLEP, DSST, CEEB, AP, etc.), or throughmilitary training will be considered a Transfer Student for the purpose of Admissions. All othercriteria applicable to how transfer credit is applied toward a degree is a decision of theRegistrar’s office. Students who have earned less than 12 transferable credit hours must alsofulfill all of the freshman application requirements.Applicants who desire to transfer to <strong>Victory</strong> <strong>University</strong> from a Bible college are welcome toapply for acceptance and must meet all the criteria set under Transfer Student AdmissionsRequirements. In addition, the Bible college attended must hold accreditation from theAssociation for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE).1. Application: An application may be submitted by logging on to the <strong>Victory</strong> <strong>University</strong>website and completing the online application or by submitting a paper application toAdmissions.2. Final Official Transcripts: Applicants must request transcripts from or submit aTranscript Relinquishment Form for each college, university, and/or institutionattended. These transcripts must be sent by US Mail to: <strong>Victory</strong> <strong>University</strong>, Attn:Admissions Office. Transcripts submitted by an applicant are not acceptable foradmission and are not considered official documents. An applicant cannot be reviewedfor regular acceptance to <strong>Victory</strong> <strong>University</strong> until all official transcripts are received. Aminimum 2.0 cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) is required for regular admission.It is possible that some credits earned at the applicant’s former institution(s) may notsubstitute for courses required at <strong>Victory</strong> <strong>University</strong>. These credits will transfer to<strong>Victory</strong> <strong>University</strong> as electives, where appropriate.Students who submit a Transcript Relinquishment Form in lieu of a college transcript will beplaced on academic probation for the first twelve (12) semester hours of their degreeprogram. At the completion of the first eight (8) week term or sixteen (16) week semesterthe student will be reviewed for Satisfactory <strong>Academic</strong> Progress. Students will be subject tothe <strong>Academic</strong> Failure policy. Students utilizing Title IV financial aid will have their packagingcompleted after their first satisfactory academic progress check.3. Placement Test: Transfer students who have not completed English Composition Iand/or College Algebra with a ‘C’ or better will be expected to complete a COMPASS testfor placement in English and/or Math. Furthermore, if current ACT or SAT scores are notavailable, and the student has not completed the previously stated courserequirements, the student will be expected to complete a COMPASS test for placement21
