The certificate should include the following information:Name of student completing the courseIntelligible name and/or clear description of the course of studyAccurate statement of the number of clock hours spent by the student, thecourse dates, or the course of studyNumber of CEU hours awarded at the conclusion of the course of studyAuthorizing signatures(s) and dates.Credit for Prior Learning (CPL)Hours granted by the appropriate staff of the <strong>University</strong> for the successful submission bythe student of a written, well-documented portfolio which describes the student’sreasons as to why he/she believes he/she has already acquired the knowledge and skillstaught in a specific <strong>University</strong> course. A maximum of fifteen (15) semester hours of CPLcan be applied toward a degree at <strong>Victory</strong> <strong>University</strong>. There is a fee of $100.00 toevaluate the credit and a charge of $25.00 for each credit granted.Testing (AP, CLEP, DSST)Hours granted for the successful completion of a nationally recognized test that hasbeen evaluated by the American Council on Education (ACE) and been given a pass/failscale by ACE. The student must score at least the minimum recommended score forgranting hours as determined by the ACE guide.COLLEGE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION BOARD (CEEB) PROGRAM; ADVANCED PLACEMENT (AP)PROGRAM<strong>Victory</strong> <strong>University</strong> will accept advanced placement for hours earned through theAdvanced Placement Program of the College Entrance Examination Board with thefollowing stipulations:1. The participating high school must follow the syllabus recommended by CEEB.2. Only grades of 3 or above will be accepted.3. Credit will be given with the grade of P (pass, but no quality points will beawarded).4. A maximum aggregate of seventy-five (75) semester hours of ContinuingEducation Units (CEUs), Credit for Prior Learning (CPL), correspondence, testing(such as CLEP, DSST, CEEB, AP, etc.), and /or non-accredited college credit maybe applied towards a degree at <strong>Victory</strong> <strong>University</strong>.94
