PARKINGOne of the many advantages of <strong>Victory</strong> <strong>University</strong>’s campus is the availability of ample parkingfor our students. The <strong>University</strong> has three parking lots designated for student use: one on thesouth side of campus, one on the west side adjacent to the main entrance for the <strong>University</strong>,and one on the north side adjacent to Building B. Students must register their vehicles at thetime of registration at the Department of Operations and Public Safety. Tickets/citations will beissued for illegal parking, expired permits, failure to register student vehicles, etc. and mayresult in towing at the student’s own expense.CHILDREN ON CAMPUSAs a Christ‐centered community of learners in an academic environment, <strong>Victory</strong> <strong>University</strong>affirms that through God, the institution helps guide students who, trained in the nurture andadmonition of the Lord, lead others in the spiritual hope for ongoing work of the kingdom forgenerations to come. As a community of scholars, the <strong>University</strong> also affirms its commitment tomutual respect and consideration for others in an atmosphere conducive to intellectual andspiritual growth.In view of these community values, the <strong>University</strong> seeks to strike a balance not only between anenvironment hospitable to families and children but also one in which discipline, order, andrespect for the <strong>University</strong>’s mission are preserved. Consequently, the <strong>University</strong> recognizes thatthe unauthorized presence of children on campus poses significant risks of liability for injury orloss both to the children themselves and to the person or property of others. The unauthorizedpresence of children on <strong>University</strong> premises (including classrooms and the library) may alsoprovoke such responses as anxiety, distraction, or diversion in employees and students alike,diminishing their opportunity for optimal productivity. The <strong>University</strong> currently does notprovide childcare, and employees and students are expected to provide care for children intheir charge at home or elsewhere outside the purview and responsibility of the <strong>University</strong>.Accordingly, with the exception of <strong>University</strong>‐sponsored events or activities specificallyintended to promote attendance by children and/or their families or such other events as maybe excepted from this policy for approved purposes, the intentional act of any <strong>University</strong>employee or student (full‐ or part‐time) in allowing children to be or remain on <strong>University</strong>premises or at <strong>University</strong> sponsored events or activities is prohibited. In addition, except asspecifically authorized by approved faculty or administration, children at all times are restrictedfrom entering or remaining in science laboratories, computer rooms, the auditorium, thekitchen, maintenance and equipment rooms, the weight room, or other areas in whichconditions or activities pose unreasonable risks of harm to children, other individuals, and/orproperty.Notwithstanding any of the foregoing exceptions to this policy, children present on <strong>University</strong>premises or at <strong>University</strong>‐sponsored events or activities at all times must be accompanied by,and remain under the effective supervision of, a parent, guardian, or other caretaker of legal42
