WEBADVISORWebAdvisor is an online interface that allows access to information contained in theadministrative database Victory University uses. This web-based tool allows students access totheir personal profile—part of their official records at the college. (VU faculty and staff havesimilar access.)A student can view the course schedule without being logged in by clicking on the ProspectiveStudents menu. To access additional information and registration, a student can log in toWebAdvisor by entering his/her user ID and password. (User IDs and passwords are assignedwhen the student is accepted by Admissions). After successfully logging in, students arepresented with the Students menu. A student should contact the Help Desk if he/she is havingtrouble logging in to his/her WebAdvisor account.From WebAdvisor's Students menu, a student can search for classes, review academicinformation (class schedule, grades, unofficial transcript, degree audit), financial information(billing statement, financial aid status), as well as update his/her address and phone number.57
NGLNGL (Next Generation Learning) is a Web-based learning management system designed toallow students and faculty to participate in classes delivered online or use online materials andactivities to complement face-to-face teaching. NGL is also used for Victory University’s onlinecourses and programs. NGL enables instructors to provide students with course materials,discussion boards, and online quizzes.The degree to which NGL is used in a course varies. For example, instructors may supplementan on-campus class by putting their syllabus and handouts on their course sites. In contrast,other courses may be conducted entirely through NGL without any on-campus sessions. If astudent is enrolled in a course that uses NGL, he/she must be sure to find out how NGL will beused in that course. Instructions can be found via our website to walk the student throughsetting up his/her User ID. If a student has any questions, he/she should contact the NGL HelpDesk.58
