SPECIAL CATEGORIES OF ACCEPTANCEPROVISIONAL ACCEPTANCEStudents applying to Victory University who meet all admissions requirements but are unableto submit their official transcripts in the timeframe required by Admissions and the Registrar’sOffice may apply for Provisional Acceptance. Provisional Acceptance allows the student toregister for one term or semester for a maximum of six (6) semester hours. Depending on thelength of the class, Victory University will allow up to the end of the student’s first term orsemester for all official documents to be received by the institution. If such documents are notreceived, the student may be Administratively Withdrawn.Students using Title IV financial aid will not be disbursed funds to their account until they havebeen fully admitted.Once the university receives all documentation, students will be reviewed for regular orprobationary admission. Regular or Probationary Admission must be granted in order for astudent to register for subsequent coursework. All costs accrued by the student duringprovisional acceptance are the responsibility of the student regardless of whether regular orprobationary admission is granted.PROBATIONARY ACCEPTANCEStudents who are applying for admission or readmission and do not meet the academicstandards for admissions must appeal for a probationary acceptance. In addition to admissionsor readmissions requirement, students must submit an appeal letter of no more than two (2)pages to the Admissions Committee. The letter should be professionally written and contain thefollowing details:An explanation for past academic performanceMeasures the Applicant has taken while not attending VU to improve his or heracademic performance (I.e. attending community college, completed writing class, etc.)The Applicant’s plan for future academic success at VUStudents who are granted a probationary acceptance will be placed on academic probation andallowed to register for a maximum of twelve (12) credit hours. At the completion of the twelfthcredit hour, students will be reviewed to determine if the academic probation will be lifted or ifthey will be dismissed from the university.33
CLEARANCE TO REGISTER AS A STUDENTBefore accepted students will be cleared to register, they must submit the followinginformation to Admissions:1. Documentation of proof of immunizations as directed by the State of Tennessee.(Online learners living outside the state of Tennessee are exempt from proof ofimmunization).2. Disclosure of Transferability of Credits as directed by the Tennessee HigherEducation Commission.3. Enrollment Contract as directed by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission.4.
