The little birdie is cool<br />
in <strong>the</strong> pool...<br />
Let’s face it, our pools are important to us in<br />
Florida. They keep us cool all summer and<br />
provide hours of fun for <strong>the</strong> kidd-o’s. Of<br />
course, no Floridian would dream of taking a<br />
swim in mid January, so we felt <strong>the</strong>re was<br />
no better time for some much needed<br />
maintenance and repairs on our big pond<br />
and pool pump too. I called LaGasse Pool<br />
Company at 2877 West Broward<br />
Blvd, Fort Lauderdale. Recalling that<br />
<strong>the</strong>y had built our childhood pool back<br />
in <strong>the</strong> day (hey, I’m not that old!). I<br />
remembered my parents’ complete<br />
satisfaction with <strong>the</strong>ir services and<br />
decided to give <strong>the</strong>m a call. LaGasse<br />
Pools is a family owned and operated<br />
business and <strong>the</strong> friendly, family<br />
centered service I received was apparent<br />
in <strong>the</strong> very first phone call. I dealt with several of <strong>the</strong> employees regarding<br />
<strong>the</strong> few things I wished to have done and <strong>the</strong>y were efficient and fair in<br />
<strong>the</strong>ir estimates. I even spoke with its president, Bill LaGasse of Coconut<br />
Creek, who was so friendly and easy to talk to. Customer service is<br />
definitely top priority at LaGasse. They even called me after <strong>the</strong> job was<br />
done to make sure we were completely satisfied. LaGasse Pools does<br />
residential and commercial pools as well as repairs and maintenance. I<br />
definitely have pool perfection thanks to <strong>the</strong> folks at LaGasse Pool<br />
Company!<br />
The birdie loves a fun night out...<br />
Since Weston is really just down <strong>the</strong> road a bit, I love to have a fun night<br />
out with friends or with my sweetie at Japan Inn at <strong>the</strong> Weston Town<br />
Center, 1798 Market Street. Make a reservation to be seated at a hibachi<br />
table with a group of your closest friends for a night of excitement and<br />
wonderful food. The hibachi chefs are entertaining and masters of <strong>the</strong>ir<br />
craft! If you are feeling romantic and just want to go out with your honey,<br />
sit at a quiet indoor booth or outside in <strong>the</strong>ir garden area. The wea<strong>the</strong>r is<br />
perfect for this in <strong>the</strong> cool of January. Now, about <strong>the</strong> food. It just cannot<br />
be beat. Whe<strong>the</strong>r you are partial to sushi and sashimi or prefer traditional<br />
Japanese fair such as Tempura or Katsu style shrimp, chicken or<br />
vegetables, you are in for a treat. My o<strong>the</strong>r half always goes for <strong>the</strong><br />
combination sushi/tempura creation that literally comes to you in a boat<br />
that fits <strong>the</strong> entire surface of <strong>the</strong> table.The service is always superb and <strong>the</strong><br />
wait staff is attentive, efficient and has excellent knowledge of <strong>the</strong>ir menu<br />
selections. You will never leave hungry when you dine at Japan Inn. They<br />
accept reservations for all tables and for groups of all sizes. Put a call in to<br />
Japan Inn today.<br />
Not to harp on <strong>the</strong> subject of food...<br />
But ano<strong>the</strong>r great eatery has opened up in our area that is perfect for a<br />
quick breakfast, lunch or dinner. The Atlanta Bread Company at 6041<br />
West Sample Road, Coral Springs is serving it up with great food of all<br />
kinds. They have breakfast menu items that include omelettes, rolls and<br />
coffees that will get you off to work with a smile! Check <strong>the</strong>m out for<br />
lunch too, with a full selection of gourmet pizzas, sandwiches, and soups. I<br />
loved <strong>the</strong> hearty baked potato soup with California Avocado sandwich.<br />
The soup was served hot and fresh and <strong>the</strong> sandwich was a dream. Pop in<br />
to eat a quick meal in <strong>the</strong> dining room which offers a nice, homey<br />
atmosphere. In a rush and need an easy but yummy dinner? Run through<br />
for a quick take home meal that definitely does not have that fast food<br />
feel. I liked <strong>the</strong> staff and found <strong>the</strong>m friendly with a knack for making<br />
great recommendations. I look forward to a return visit soon. Remember<br />
Atlanta Bread Company definitely bakes more than just bread!<br />
