This may seem a little too much, but it is all a matter ofcomparative values. Those who realize the true values of prayerthrough experience are convinced that time spent in it are occupiedmuch more beneficially than that spent in other pursuits.There is no ordained priesthood in Islam. Every Muslim can beImam (who leads congregational prayers) and can deliver a sermon.Members of the congregation may select, and for this purpose, theyshould choose one from among themselves who knows the Qur’anbetter than the others. any special dress for the congregation. All that needed is the bodyshould be clean and decently covered.Daily 5 times Salat is obligatoryIn one Hadith, our Prophet Muhammad (blessing and peace beupon him) has asked the Muslim parents to teach daily Salat to theirchildren from the age of seven, and to compel them to say 5 timesSalat daily from the age of ten. (Abu Dawood) Salat is the mostimport among all kinds of Ibadah and Salat is the first item ofIbadah Allah will examine on the Day of Qiyamah. One whosucceeds in Salah, can expect to go to Jannat (Paradise, Heaven) butthe one who fails in this test, will be ruined.
