PrefaceDear Young Brothers & Sisters:Surely all praise is for Allah. We praise Him and seek His help. We seek Hisforgiveness and we seek refuge in Him from the evil of our own souls and from thewickedness of our own deeds.A Muslim’s life is guided by his/her Imaan in the Tawheed and his Taqwa. Tawheedhas been defined as absolute Oneness of Allah, without any association or partner,and His supremacy over all that exists in the Universe, seen and unseen. Taqwa hasbeen defined variously by different authorities but primarily as Fear of Allah. Butwhatever are the differences in the definitions, one thing is common everywhere, thatis, degree of Taqwa in a person shows the depth of his Imaan. But most of us Muslimsdo not make serious efforts to acquire accurate knowledge about our Deen and remainignorant, and thus commit excesses in the matter of Ibadah. We do not like to study tolearn; we continue to practice Islam with whatever scanty knowledge we possess. Thisis not acceptable. We should be serious and sincere about our duty to Allah to whomwe will have to explain our failures on the Day of Judgment.We like to emphasize here that Deen and Dunya are essential components of thereligion of Islam; these are not two separate entities, and one cannot be ignored for theother. Allah’s last Prophet and Messenger, Muhammad (saw), has convincinglydemonstrated the integrated Deen and Dunya in his own life which can be and shouldbe emulated by the Muslims all over the world. Muhammad (saw) was sent by Allah asa perfect role model as a religious lawgiver, statesman, administrator, peacemaker,husband, father, grandfather, social worker, and you name it. He was a grand successeverywhere and we have every detail of his life fully documented. What we need nowis to study his biography together with the Qur’an and his authentic Ahadith and buildour lifestyle accordingly. What we need is strong Imaan and the determination to begood Muslims to please Allah.Information regarding different aspects of a Muslim’s life was obtained from the Qur’an,authentic hadith and various Islamic literatures and is presented in this book in aconcise form so that you can learn about Islam and can enrich your life in this worldand in the Hereafter.
